Jane Kerby

Miss Kerby is a female Consultant Plastic Surgeon based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. Her NHS practice focuses mainly on looking after children and adults affected by cleft as well as general adult and paediatric plastic surgery. Her private practice focuses on a range of facial and body cosmetic surgery procedures to boost confidence, paediatric plastic surgery and skin surgery.

She graduated from Nottingham Medical school in 2009 and spent time as a junior doctor in East Office doing Volunteer work following this. It was her time there that made her want to pursue a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery. She has since spent time doing research into the Tumour Immunology of Melanoma (skin cancer) in the WINN, Oxford University. She completed her subspeciality training in Plastic Surgery and advanced fellowship training in the North East.

Miss Kerby is a trustee for the UKs Cleft Lip and Palate charity (CLAPA). She has spent time doing collaborative cleft surgery abroad including in the Philippines and hopes to do more in the future when her family life allows.

She is the Clinical Governance Lead (responsible for ensuring patient safety) in the Plastic Surgery Department at the RVI. She’s listed on the General Medical Council’s specialist register for plastic surgery and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

She is a strong advocate for women’s rights and choices and is delighted to be able to offer women in the North East the opportunity to be treated by a female Plastic Surgeon should they wish to be.

At the Beverley she will be offering blephroplasties (eyelid lifts), brow lifts, rhinoplasties, prominent ear correction, scar revision, brachioplasty (arm lifts), cosmetic breast surgery (breast augments, breast uplifts, breast reductions), abdominoplasties (tummy tucks), full body lifts, non surgical treatments (eg. anti-wrinkle treatment), mole and lesion removal and labiaplasty.

Miss Kerby is known for her warm, empathetic and caring approach to looking after her patients. She makes her patients feel comfortable, relaxed and ensures they are really listened to. She knows how important this journey is for you and looks forward to being there with you for it to achieve the results you want.
