Overview of the procedure
This procedure is particularly common among patients with unsightly C-section scars who do not require a complete tummy tuck. A mini tummy tuck is ideally suited for those with a small amount of excess skin that does not encompass the entire area around the belly button (umbilicus). Instead, the surplus skin is limited to the region just above the pubic hair line, where the waistband typically sits. The mini tummy tuck reshapes the lower section of the abdomen and results in a discreet scar that is generally shorter than that of a traditional tummy tuck. Additionally, the recovery period is also reduced.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Patient
I am so grateful to Mr Saleh for his absolute expertise
His confident calming manner gave me absolute assurance that I was in expert hands . It’s difficult to describe how my operation has made me feel, maybe 20 years younger, confident . Mr Saleh is approachable and just understood the reasons behind my decision to proceed with surgery. This was hugely important to me. My stomach looks amazing and has exceeded my expectation of what could be done after 4 children. Thank you
Frequently asked questions
Our FAQs section provides comprehensive answers to the most common inquiries regarding our procedures, helping you to make informed decisions and gain clarity on what to expect throughout your journey at Beverley Clinic.
Where are the scars placed?
Most tummy tuck scars should be designed to remain below the underwear/swimwear line immediately above the pubic hair line. In certain cases a midline scar may also be present, particularly in those who have undergone significant weight loss. There is also typically a cut around the belly button, however, the belly button itself retains its original position.
Are my tummy muscles repaired too?
For most individuals, the two vertical muscles in the abdomen, commonly referred to as the six-pack muscles, become separated and stretched over time, particularly during pregnancy. These muscles play a significant role in providing core stability. The muscle repair is a series of stitches internally that bring the muscles back together in the middle. This is of great benefit for the overall result of surgery and so we normally advise it if on examination there is obvious muscle separation.
Will I need liposuction as well?
Many patients have a ‘lipoabdominoplasty’ – which is where certain areas of the tummy and flanks are also liposucked to shape the area better.
